This is mellow Horvitz (as opposed to Zony Mash funk-rock Horvitz or avant-slash Naked City Horvitz). Soft songs with some good acoustic-piano passages. There's a touch of adventure here and there, but it's overall relaxed and pretty. 3, 7 -- Straight-up jazz; anomalies in a sea of mellowness 9,10 -- Very "ECM" feel 2 -- Strong, lovely, drifting melody, this track was my favorite on Horvitz's "From a Window" CD, where it was slower and more detatched. | ||
