Split cd, tracks 1-9 are PD, the rest Gnou. Smokin metal, thrashola grindy. Pig Destroyer relies on machine gun double bass drums, shifting to double or half time, sometimes regardless of rest of band, technical feeling in places but not overall, scream vocs not high pitched, some troll moments, songs short barrages, all bets are off for the last track, a stooges cover 1) hammering double bass shifts rockin feel 2) some trollish vocs thrown in, straight machine gun beat shifs to head banging in end 3) slower head banger turns double time 4) fast, slow sabbath metal 5) barrage w/ troll vocs 6) thrashy mostly fast 7) thrashy, goes 2/4 w/ troll vocs, short and sweet 8) 2/4 hardcore feel 9) total shift in production, everything as this is a stooges cover, very metal, weird Gnou: Intense mix of samples, 2/4 hardcore thrash and grindy’isms. Comical in structure and vocals range from yelling to funny high-pitched sarcasm. Dystopia, Noothgrush 10) sample intro w/ FCC, strange galloping swingy feel mixed w/ many changes 11) hardcore thrashola, shifting all over 12, 13) nice sample in intro, various timings 14) spoof of mary poppins classic, mostly grindy but thrashy too 15) sample intro, more strange multifaceted stuff 16) brief hip hop sample followed by more intense spastic all over the place thrashola weirdness. | ||
