The keyboardist from Phish hires the drummer from the Meters and the bassist from the Allmon Brothers Band ... the sum is a mildly funky album of enjoyable, if light, rock songs. It reminds me of Paul McCartney a little bit (just a LITTLE bit -- don't run away!) or, if you know 'em, Phil Manzanera's 801, because of the constant swirling keyboards and the friendly white-guy vocals.

Not particularly gritty or soulful, but there's some catchy tunes and a few reasonably funky beats (track 2 especially).

1- Floaty singing in a forest of keyboards. Nice.
2*- Hard midtempo funk.
3*- Singer/songwriter pop with background horns. Light.
4*- Mildly funky, upbeat instrumental. Try not to think of old video games...
5*- Nice spacey funk, reasonably fast
6- Very Phish-y, pleasant, slow
7- Overdone sentimental mush
