Great CD with a very "cool" mainstream sound (piano/vibes) but lots of innovative ideas. Greg Osby might be palatable enough for Blue Note, but he's also one of the more challenging composers around, in the Steve Coleman vein. So yes, the sound is pretty glossy, but it's also rich with complexity.

Sidemen Stefan Harris (vibes) and Jason Moran (piano) are becoming stars in their own right and sound great here. Moran in particular continues to impress me.

- Start/stop coolness
*- Hip shuffle, good piano solo
*- Slow and very compelling composition
*- Wobbles like a mathematical drunk.
- Soft, lovely. Nice mid/fast piano groove
*- Fast, slick, comlicated
- Slow
- Uptempo complex shuffle
- Slow, prety
