Punky new wave goth, all female recently defunct local band (see their Wed Night Live CD). Spooky synths play a big part in these songs that are mostly driving urgent surfy beats a la Slant Six. The beat/synth combo smacks of new wave punk stuff, early MTV fare (Missing Persons?) but that is quickly erased by the total mix and overall feel, more like Joy Division. Sax plays a big part on many songs, bringing to mind No Wave bands and the X-Ray Spex. But this is far too garagy for all of that. Check it out.
1) driving urgent beat w/ swirling synth and sax up front
2) new wave goth feel, upbeat simple beat bogs slightly
3) straight upbeat driving
4) new wavey feel
5) straight song w/o sax, devolves in end
6) surfier beat, discordant riff, different feel
7) more
8) slower joy division feel
9)sax out front surfy punk
10) upbeat with sax
