Our long lost pierced gay survivalist red-headed step sister station KFJC puts out probably their best comp yet. Holey smokes! Two CDs worth of live in-studio or remote recording of top notch bands. CD1 goes for about 40 minutes and six bands before any vocals are heard, it’s a psychedelic noise creep-rock fan’s wet dream. In fact, both CDs lean heavily toward the space psyche jam realm; most songs are instrumental. Super cool stuff, every track, good to the last drop. Rock over London, rock over Los Altos Hills.
CD1
1) subdued crunchy mathy power rock
2) noodly mellow post-rockisms, minimal psyche improv, obligatory rock-out a end
3) trippy loopy guit, delves into grindy rock
4) train chugging beat, scronky sax like sounds, crazy jam
5) excellent drony noise from Czech republic
6) primo psyche rock turns funky- too cool
7) noisy dissonant No Wave garage rock , weird muffled vocalizations only
8) male vocs, upbeat garage rock, brief
9) doomy spooky rock w/ treated male vocs
10) mathy progish free feel, perc + synths
CD2:
1) super hip space jam a la early Chrome or F/i
2) triplet psyche near goth celtic w/ woman wailing and flutes
3) near loungy, spy space feel
4) acoustic guit + fem voc ballad, western fok waltz
5) solo avante jazz sax
6) blippy synth silly funky loungy blip hop
7) funky almost tribal w/ chanting type vocs
8) upbeat, noisy swirling synth, male vocs
9) driving fuzzy garage punk rock
10) very long space rock jam, chill, trippy synths
