Lucas E.B.E. Rodenbush: Unreleased Cutz
Label: <none>

Lucas is one of the most talented and prolific tech-house producers in the San Jose underground. His tracks have been licensed to so many labels across the world and pressed onto so many 12” records, many of which KZSU would have a hard time getting. So, what he has done is provide all of his current unreleased tracks – stuff that he’s been working on in the studio and will eventually get turned into techno records. His sound is distinctive – he has a sense for heavily layered percussive effects & beats. The tracks range from straight-up bangin’ techno to trippy deeper-house-y tunes – BPMs range from 125 to 140. This is the cutting edge of tech-house right now, coming out of your backyard. Try: 3,5,6,7,8,9,10.

1. Aurora – thumpin’ beats w/ flowing melodic synth tones
2. On the Brink – spooky synth w/ flippy tech-y effect going in & out
3. In The Void – more bangin’ beats w/ a neat piano effect bouncing in & out
4. Convoluted – space-y house w/ deep beats & chill synths
5. Frantik – twisted progressive house w/ some weird little Casio-like effects & swirls
6. Ascent – thumpin’ tech-y house w/ neat synth swirls
7. Determined – tech-y stuff but not so heavy w/ nice little synth loops
8. Implicated – slammin’ intense beats, great drops, percussive layers, claps – solid techno
9. Elastik – electro-breakbeat-y w/ some neat analog bass-y effects
10. Locomode – pumpin’ pumpin’ – great drop-beat/breaks, tech-y effects - awesome
