Delta November Delta Nove DN 2002 Mostly funk, 70’s flavored funk to Afro funk with a large dose of Brasilian/Carribean flavored funk, with a reggae dub song or two thrown in for good measure. Lots of spacey noisey interludes connecting the songs. Good funky stuff here from a Long Beach outfit whose male vocs are sometimes a little too “white boy” for the medium, but lots of songs more than make up for it. 1) sound collage w/ voiceover 2) upbeat sorta funky 70’s cop show feel 3) funk-kay!! Smokin’ 4) very brief sound 5) kinda slightly dubby spacey slow-mid trippy 6) birdlike jungle sounds 7) afro-funk flavored brasillian toned funk jam 8) very bried radio noise 9) reggae, kinda white boy vocs but lot of nice spacey echoey dub elements 10) brief treated street sounds 11) salsa carribo feeling near smooth jazz 12) brief brasillian percussion, street carnival feel 13) funky progish jam 14) whale sounds 15) cool smarmy samba calypso looooove feel, sorta white boy vocs have nice treatments 16) strange sci fi noise w/ min acoustic noodling 17) samba, almost straight street samba na portugeuse 18) brief acoustic guit samba 19) afro-funk feel, jam out 20) ska-reggae feel, quite pleasant 21) street percussion heavy brasilian carnival samba 22) smooth horn heavy carribean flavored w/ steel drums 23) strange voiceover to spooky sounds etc | ||
