Solid post-bebop effort. The band has 9 people, including 2 pianos, 2 basses, 2 drums ... but Roscoe doesn't overwhelm you with noise. Many tracks are tastefully free-jazzy with nice composed elements (see track #1 and 9). Others go for an art-gallery kind of quiet (3,8) or an aggressive but not shrieky free-jazz attack (2,4,7).

Awesome stuff, one of the best albums of 2002.
