Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2002-12-09
Pop with late 70’s “new wave punk” feel a la Television. Psychedelic garage undertones, especially in the vocals, with moments of old Dream Syndicate. Old Who, Kinks, Stones maybe. Local guit/bass/drums/male vocals. Hooky and melodic. Really good stuff from our own backyard, sonofagun.

1) mid up poppy hooky
2) janglier
3) jangly
4) upbeat pop
5) more riffy melodic, with nice breaks
6) theres and epic almost live 105 hit feel to this, really good
7) psyche feel of dream syndicate becomes more apparen
8) tamborine all but seals this jangly one into the psyche realm, lower fi vocs and feel, groovey as hell
9) opening riff reminds me of old who or kinks, upbeat more driving
10) Television quality to the phrasing and strumming
11) strummy ballady, 60’s garage feel for sur
12) slower ballady strummy, reflective garage love song
