Fifth release from these dudes based out of Virginia. A nice mix of goth, synth, new wave, and electronica, with very subtle shades of industrial and punk. The music is more up-tempo than your average goth band, but the themes lie strictly within that genre. Some cool techno/dance beats throughout. The vocals sound a bit jarring, like a punk singer trying to sing, but they’re cool once you get used to them. The band has had a grueling touring schedule for the last three or four years, and they supposedly put on great shows (I never bothered to check them out, not my thing). Nonetheless, that energy shows through on this album, all songs are played/programmed very tightly and cohesively. I would definitely add this; there’s something on here to please everyone.

Recommended Tracks:
1) Great song, with a cool beat, excellent lyrics, and nice synthesizer work.
2) Another cool song, more upbeat, still rather dark.
5) Haunting, slow, moody piece about death. His voice finally shines on this one.
6) Holy crap! This is definitely very punk, very horror-movie “stompfest”, if you know what I mean. Definitely play this one.
8) Awesome piano intro, sad tune about carrying on and hope never dies and all that sappy shit, but they make it work. Excellent fuckin’ guitar solo, too.
9) A lot more dance-y, still very cool, heartfelt lyrics.
11) More guitar-oriented, which works fine for me. As a result, more up-tempo, punk rock sounding. The drum track is annoying as all fuck, though. They really need to get some live drums in here. This programmed stuff sounds like shit.
13) The last song on this is an instrumental, and it sounds a bit like some kid experimenting with all the crazy effects on his brand-new Casio keyboard. Weird, trippy, but also sleep inducing, so beware.
