An earthly sounding big band led by flute and backed by hand drums, with the typical sax/trumpet/etc. in there as well. Kind of an "African roots" sound. The compositions come from a '60s late-bop motif, accessible and occasionally complex.

Richly jazzy pieces for full band. Lots of "African roots" sound, with hand percussion and flute, as well as your typical sax et. al.
Full band includes more than your typical jazz section: flute, cello, violin.

1*- Happy, boisterous slow/midtempo, with gradual intro.
2*- Bouncy and upbeat
3- Quieter midtempo, a meditation
4- Cool midtempo riff, w/some singing; lyrics related to slavery
5-6-7*- Spritely mid/fast piece, after a flute monologue and dreamy intro. (All 3 tracks segue.)
8- Touch of New Orleans blues; slow, warm.
9- Simple, shuffling little song.
10*- Mid/fast
11- Twittering free/abstract track
