Pretty folk or very soft pop music, but almost never straightforward, which makes it interesting. Each track has some aspect that ensures its uniqueness. High-pitched female vocals, acoustic guitar, light drums, and piano dominate, with some violin, as well. Lyrics are funny at times, but usually poignant and full of longing. Recommend 1,2,6,7,8, and especially 10.
– sadly funny lyrics, guitar and vocals, some periodic sound effects
– fun, catchy, foot-stomping beat with piano and light drums, fastest track on CD
– slow and soft, but hand sliding between guitar notes distracting
– slow, poignant
– slow-med, piano throughout
– harder strumming on the acoustic guitar, occasional piano
– sparse and pretty, with just vocals and guitar through most of track
– intense and choppy beat, last minute of track is just quiet humming
– slow, most straightforward track on CD
– very slow, sparse, beautiful drum and percussion, piano, and vocal interplay, heartbreaking
– jumpy acoustic guitar, chorus has beautiful, sad violin
