THIS IS TRASH!!! One man band, Jonathan Bates, shows off his voice by impersonating Thom Yorke from Radiohead throughout the EP, and even copies the head shake in videos of his live performance. Most references are from The Bends or OK Computer era. Voice is wide-ranging, guitars are simple, drum machine is simple, writing is mediocre, production is overdone. I’m ok with copying other bands (because I certainly do), but one should attempt to make it better, add something different, or copy it really really well, so well that it might as well be the band you’re copying. This meets none of those criteria. I refuse to support someone who hides behind artistic merit but would clearly jump at the chance to be on mainstream radio alongside creed and dave matthews. The only redeeming quality is that you can download the EP for free off his website. #1 is by far the best track and is actually sweet. The next best song #2 violates FCC. 1, 2, 5.

1. instrumental. drum machine +acoustic guitar +nice synth melody
2. FCC. drums, guitar, piano, catchy almost annoying vocals.
3. FCC. trent reznor doing radiohead on acoustic guitar? eels?
4. bad radiohead impression with crunchy guitars. I want to puke.
5. groove like super simplified depeche mode. at least it’s different.
6. dark radiohead w/ several layers of wailing vocals. get over it man!
