Clean Beatle-haired melancholy indie rockers with just a touch of Nick Cave (in his more languid moments) in the vocals. If these dudes were a bit more slick, the first couple songs could be on MTV. If they were a bit less slick, they could be on my show. (Ha ha! Actually I might play 2 or 5 or 9....)

1. twinkly guitar, smoky sandy male vox
2. spare, pretty guitar
3. sing out, man! Dang.
4. shaker and burbling bass
5. martial drums, a bit driftier and grittier, mostly instrumental
6. thumpy hummy bass, wide reverb
7. long and slow and indie rocky and whoa, is that a major key?
8. space crickets interlude
9. pretty funky for indie rockers. fades at about 2 min. remaining, comes back at 1 min. remaining, leaves again w/15 seconds on the counter
10. quiet, strummy, with piano and cymbal and lots of open space, building to something spare and processional
