Two electronistas combine forces and come to ... well, just about the sum of their parts. Scanner, particularly, is a prolific duo collaborator, but with variable results. Here, the one real collaboration - track 3 - is the weakest, being a not very special example of its type, while the other three tracks all offer deeper moods, more interesting techniques and unexpected sound/style juxtapositions, and generally more surprise and reward

1. Pelican City only: Slight "Tubular Bells" aspect with ... uh, bells over a groove
2. Scanner only: Hyperrhythm beaten out on faux-drums while faux-strings take their sweet time pulling a cloying melody - the simultaneous fast/slow effect is disorienting to say the least
3. Scanner and Pelican City: Sweeping chords create a noir mood but haven't we heard all these fake-soundtrack things too many times for it to make an impact anymore
4. Scanner only: Ooh, super creepy oscillating arpeggio and a grumble of a rhythm are the foundation for a variety of sounds floating into and out of the song space; space dub for late night listening
