Very pleasant, a warm suburban glow. European jazz with warm unison saxophone lines, calm electric bass, and melodic piano. Happy, accessible stuff with mildly complex composing ... nicely offbeat. Possibly a bit too coy and smiley -- not the music to play if you're in a bitter mood or want to rock out.

Feigenwinter is the pianist and composer, by the way. Tracks 5-9 feature the ARTE Saxophone Quartet, who played with Tim Berne on his album, "The Sevens." No drums!

- Mid/slow
*- Mid/fast rolling piano, breezy
- Midtempo gospel-jazz piano (like a milder '70s Keith Jarrett)
- Mid/fast and very melodic, dangerously close to Windham Hill territory.
- Pleasantly chugging
*- Midtempo pleasant, almost loungy
- Quiet, slower
*- Fast
- Perky and popping, gets kind of maddening
