Reissue of 1980 Bay Area sessions that included Derek Bailey, Evan Parker, ROVA, Henry Kaiser and others. It's mostly small-group pieces, with only #1 and 4 featuring most of the players.

Abstract improvisation, in the vein of what Bailey and Parker generally do. Mostly fast-paced, wild stuff, like an avant-garde party.

1- Large ensemble piece. Starts with saxes (ROVA) fairly calmly, gets wild. Massive blur courtesy of Henry Kaiser at -14:00.
2*- Sedate abstraction; duet of sax and acoustic guitar (Bailey)
3- Sax (Evan Parker) and trumpet duet ... fast and skittish
4- Large-group improvising, loud and patiently paced. First 8 minutes loud. The rest is sparser but still fairly fierce.
5- Evan Parker solo of continuous cascading notes -- his usual thing.
6*- Calm start, then fierce. Features piano.
7*- Fast and bright: trumpet/sax/ac.guitar
