Flying Groove
Jazzy rare groove. This is the second of two archive compilations exploring the vaults of RCA and its subsidiary Flying Dutchman. This disc is a bit more jazzy and mellow then Flying Funk, but there are still some exciting moments. This is a fine collection of music, some of my favorite tunes have been included, recommended for people who are interested in funky jazz and jazzy funk from the late 60s/early 70s .
1) **Large funk band banging out funky Hendrix classic
2) **Yelling and Fluting!
3) *Up-tempo, female vocals
4) Mellow, jazzy
5) Light vocal swing
6) *Instrumental cover of tune made famous by Ray Charles
7) *Up-tempo, movie soundtrack feel.
8) **Hilarious rap from Gil Scott-Heron. A classic!
9) **Fuzzed out slow groove instrumental
10) *Jazz orchestra with choppy/syncopated rhythms and percussion
11) *Ominous intro, lush orchestral arrangements, funky breakbeats
12) Long Latin Jazz jam with saxophone.
13) Cheerful Bossa Nova
14) *Mellow, spiritual with Leon Thomas? patented yodeling
