(coll) Ex Nihilo, Moshi Moshi Urasai same Split 12 inch- Side A: Ex Nihilo is great heavy rock, understated vocals, overstated guitars with lots of changes, rhythms, definite heavy emo rock flavor, but creative and indie as hell. Side B: Moshi Moshi Urasai is similar- lots of clean vs fuzzed guitar, multi rhythms, all instrumental rock, tight as a young cat crammed into a whiskey bottle. Great stuff. A-1: starts disjunct, launches into galloping emo hardcore, feedback symposium midway rocks again midpaced, retardando slow A-2: more slower parts overall, upbeat, slow bridge, builds back, slow again B-1: mostly mid guit rock gets fast and heavy, then shifts back, goes ballistic in places B-2: mostly ballistic crazy upbeat B-3: smoking angular stop-go stuff, tight tight tight, ooooh baby B-4: nice echo use, strange buried vocs | ||
