Album Review

This album consists of subdued music built up from samples. It's cool for background noise when you don?t have full attention to devote to it. If you try to concentrate on this, some of it may prove a bit tedious, I fear. The tracks do exhibit some dynamics as they go, so it's not a total autopilot experience, but don't expect to be "caught up in the thrill of it" - it's not that sort of album.

CD1
1. Turns into a bit of a percussion workout
2. Various flavors of percussion drive the movements of this track
3. String quartet reluctantly and dolefully pulling away
4. More playing around with quasi-random percussion samples
5. Like being inside a clock workshop - lots of individual rhythms but no overall theme; builds up to a nasty noise by the end, though

CD2
1. Random crunches, thuds, whirs, and squeaks
2. Mildly rhythmic and musical, but in a small way only
3. Shimmery melodics swapped in here and there
4. Deliberately dirty, banging-on-PVC-pipes effect is good, randomized melody is weak
5. Light touch on the sax gives this a fluttery air that?s quite pleasant
6. Pointless progression
