Improv from a violinist, loving the extended technique. Lots of like-minded cohorts join for a heady trip. This could also be filed under way out-there jazz, or experimental modern classical. 1.Starts w/quiet note, and hard to hear squeaks. Loud slides and squonks cross eachother. Gets quiet with about four minutes left then picks up with pizzicato and string scratches. 2.sparse & quiet all the way through. plucks, some door opening/closing kinds of noises and high-pitched electrical buzzing, percussion in the last few minutes. 3.quiet. low percussion. music sounds like a lost tourist fretting. 4.sax squonks with string mimicry- they circle eachother like a double helix. 5.drummer gets to have some fun. fuller sound & radio-friendly levels. 6.violin slowly builds from silence. Whale song? Second half is jittery, still animal. | ||
