That's THURSTON moore, as in Sonic Youth, which gives you an idea what this sounds like.
Wally Shoup and Paul Flaherty are saxophonists from the Northwest and Northeast, respectively, who are known for loud, aggressive, skronky playing. Shoup's been involved with noise-jazz bands in Seattle, and Flaherty's been at it for a few decades now. Corsano is a drummer who's been on Flaherty's recent CDs.
These are three long (15-20+ minute) improvisations recorded at Tonic, a NYC lower-east-side venue sympathetic to the free-jazz thing. Each piece has its quiet parts -- they back off a bit, allowing you to assimilate what's going on -- but overall it's a healthy noisy blowout. Fun, athletic stuff!
