A trio from the Los Angeles area, Light Sleeper write sweet, melancholic boy-girl duets over very clean guitars that occasionally get slightly reverb-y. Pleasing and unchallenging to the ear, the album could either be argued as beautiful and simple or just mediocre. Nevertheless, the gentle and sweet female voice rescues all. Think also of a trimmed down version of Ida or the Secret Stars. 1, 4, 7, 6

1. melancholic boy-girl duet. sweet melody, sweet doubled guitars.
2. midtempo straightforward acoustic pop song.
3. slightly faster, strummy. kind of mediocre.
4. sweet duet over spacey riff. nice melancholic groove at end.
5. decent midtempo swinging pop song.
6. another acoustic guitar duet, with some keyboard melody.
7. sad and quiet acoustic guitar duet. understated vocals.
8. upbeat, slightly more shoegazer than other songs.
9. solo female vox
