(Say "lay pool".) Improv voice, sax, electronics, and percussion from three vets of the Quebec scene. (Yes, there's a big improv scene in Quebec - and was even before Godspeed You Longwinded Name came along). The sounds here are reluctantly parceled out - this is no out jazz - with small gestures the order of the day. Sometimes a bit creepy, other times farcical, always unusual. The synth especially is often on the farty, low-frequency burble setting. Vox are reminiscent of Jaap Blonk in gurgle mode, but without the urgency and extroversion. The standout tracks are:

4. Notable for its atypical "loudness" - an ominous rumble with sax
6. Two-note foundation is almost musical
8. Somewhat simian in sound
9. Slight metals-rubbing effect at beginning, then vocal and insectoid section, and back to metals
