The Sun – Back in the Summer of ‘72

Rocks!! Punk/blues yelping a la Iggy, violent drumming and pounding organs. Garage rock-y but the drum machines and weird sound effects differentiate it from all the other garage rock bands. Track B2 is especially mind-blowing – saxophone honking and lots of samples – it’s too bad there’s a "motherfucker" at the very end. Garage rock meets the 21st century.

PICKS: A1, B2
FCC: B1, B2

A1. excellent punk screaming – organ and drum machine
B1. rockin’ guitar and screaming – FCC "fuck"
B2. starts with honking saxophone and sound effects and samples, then weird warbly vocals with lots of effects – FCC "motherfucker" at very end maybe you can fade out the end -- it’s such a shame to not play this song because of one FCC at the very very end
