This is a soundtrack for a forthcoming film based on Franz Kafka’s short story “In The Penal Colony”. As expected, this sounds isolated, delusional, and downright creepy. Lots of whirling, swooshing ambience and noises to put it briefly.
((1))) Waves of scary, ambience & noise. Sounds of random evil creatures breathing are the predominate sound here. Severely awesome dark sounds! I’m looking forward to seeing the movie.
2) Slower tempo with random drips of water, churning noises, floating ambience, some distant voices
(((3))) VERY freaky sounds - something like a sheep’s “baaa” stretched out & slowed down with some sporatic bits of steam-powered subways from hell traveling to & fro.
(((4))) This is very “appro-po” for it’s title. A decent into audio madness. Wheezing slime giants, flares that hiss & crash through your ears and slow, slithering ambience.
((5)) Arrrgh! Freaky, madness!
(((6)))) Oy vey is this ever paranoid sounding! Lots of whispering voices (whispering I dunno what but it just sounds E-VIL!) in your ear repeatedly. Plus more random churing, bursting, flying & abupt noises & layers.
(((7))) The sounds of a long-suffering person coupled with slow waves of ambience plus spikes & logs of sporatic sonic attacks.
(((8)))) Uh-oh... more water dripping! A bassy drone with a repeated noise that almost sound like a sample of someone yelling “vio-lence”, slow cello-like drones...not terribly different than say Mortiis’ ultra-dark project, VOND (if you ‘ve ever heard them that is).
(((9)))) Noises that goes “pik, pik, urt, urt” with a neo-classic synth sound (think In The Nursery, Dead Can Dance, et. al.) with some downtempo beats.
(((10))) Like it is say it’s a movie trailer. It sound SOOOO damn good (regardless)! The count-down parts reminded me of Lars Von Trier’s “Zentropa”. (Another movie totally worth your time). “Humanity is dust...” , “I offer you the emptiness which you seek” ! $10 says that some black or death metal band WILL sample this soon!
