Quartet led by two guitarists, combining rock/fusion ideas with avant-garde sympathies Styles range from nearly Spanish acoustic guitar to slow-blazing blues-rock ... but the band stays in an "outside" mode throughout, playing off-kilter themes or dipping way beyond the changes. It's deceptively accessible and plenty weird. 1*- A fast rocking jam. Very cool burbly popping rhythm 2- Midtempo and mellow. Mixes pleasant melody with eerie atmosphere 3- Sneaky, midtempo 4- Acoustic interlude 5- Calmly paced acoustic hoedown 6- Slow cello soliloquy (probably guitar) 7*- Mid/fast evil low guitar jam 8*- Gentle country/blues; pretty 9+10 - Gregorian chant background, slow grumpy guitar weirdness 11- Acoustic; pleasantly melodic but abstract 12*- Blues-rock, sort of; mid/fast and rambling; weird sampled goodnight message 13*- Loud psych-rock! | ||
