Orig. released in 1969, great sampling of the popular music of Ghana. Everything from happy high-life party music to traditional folk songs. Read the notes. Great stuff.
1. Uptempo dance w/a happy sound.
*2. Shakers, male vox, perc. Mid-tempo & spare.
*3. Fun uptempo romp w/orchestral sound.
4. Drums in counterpoint. A great instrumental.
*5. Happy, happy high-life w/a calypso feel.
6. Mid-tempo & light w/good percussion.
*7. An uptempo Afro-jazz jam for horns/perc. Great drum break.
8. Forest sounds, flutes, perc, chorus. From quiet to dramatic.
9. Another bouncy high-life track.
10. A jazzy, big-band sound. Mid-tempo. Cool vibes.
