If you like Flying Saucer Attack you will love this: droney fuzzy layers of guitars, echoey and reverby, over downtempo comatose sampled beats, processed in a low-fi distorted manner that isn’t noisy per se, but certainly layered. Dreamlike. Little or no vocals, but when they appear Space Needle or My Bloody Valentine comes to mind, especially if the guits are bending. But I suppose that’s redundant as the common theme is ambient distorted echoey guitar soundscapes with trippy beats. There are also elements of Sebadoh, Yo La Tengo. I find this stuff relaxing and soothing, my coworker in the lab said it made her head feel like it was going to explode and made me turn it off. An hour later she said her head still hurt. Go figure. 1) long skippy hypnotic, ends cold 2) MBV feel at first, shifts to clear FSA 3) brief beats with television samples at end 4) brief again 5) difficult looped beat with droniness 6) noisy TV samples, collagelike 7) more noisy layered TV samples lead into drumless song 8) super echoey and droney noisy effects 9) simple song Sebadoh 4track feel with drum beat that joins 10) simple organ, chill Yo La Tengo feel, long 11) FSA with YLT guit and voc feel 12) this sounds a lot like Space Needle with the simple beat and strumming guitars 13) basic dissonant organ with treated weird vocs 14) simple acoustic guit+vocs, annoying 15) simple low-fi folky song 16) folky gets super noisy 17) noisy with med beat | ||
