Mainstream jazz from Iceland, with a "normal" contemporary sound and a couple of interesting compositional twists, possibly due to Icelandic folk influences. Upbeat and flowing overall, bright like Vince Guaraldi or 1970s Keith Jarrett. Live recording of a quartet: piano, sax, bass, drums. 1- Gentle, mid/fast 2- Happy upbeat step, midtempo 3- Quiet, with a nicely intense theme in the middle 4- Tangly fast lines and unusual rhythm 5- Gently chiming theme, mid/slow and pretty 6- Midtempo: Brisk and cheerful | ||
