Parts & Labor "Parts & Labor" - Three guys doing some electronic/noise/punk/math rock (or something like that). They put together three songs with heavy dirty bass, crazy keyboards, and great drumming. All three songs are pretty upbeat and fun although I liked the 2 on side B better. All songs are instrumentals. A quick note about speeds: I believe these songs should be played at 33rpm. If you're in the mood for some crazy fast beats and general goofiness you could probably play these on 45rpm as well (the review was done at 33rpm). Highly recommended for someone looking for something that is a little punky and a little math rocky with some fun electronics and keyboards thrown in.
My Picks: B1, B2

A) Fades in with dirty electronic noises and blips. Keyboards start to play a melody of sorts and then the drums and bass kick in hard. Uptempo piece that is kind of punky and kind of noisy. Drops down to minimal keyboards and drums for a bit and then the mood changes. Darker and more urgent. Then it goes back to blips and electronic noise. Ends in a lock groove.

B1) Very fast bass guitar to start off. Kind of drones since it's just one note, then the keyboards come in with a cute melody. Drums come in too and add a nice uptempo beat. Drums get pretty complicated at times. Overall this has a happy feel to it.
B2) Starts with high pitched electronic keyboards. Drums and dirty bass kick in. This is really fun and cute. Uptempo and has a bit of a video game feel to it.
