Yes, that’s what this is…field recording of African animals in their natural habitat. No background music, no annoying narration, just the growls, calls, whistles, chirps, and other sounds of leopards, rhinos, zebras, lions, and others. Perfect for mixing into other tracks, as sound-effects, or generally to add interest to other musical items.
The notes often explain what the noises are (warnings to others of possible predators, notifying others of a kill, etc.) and several tracks were recorded in one park in Kenya as various animals scavenge through a kill. Fascinating stuff.
