Friends of Mine

Cute slowish songs with acoustic guitar, Belle and Sebastian sounding strings, Adam’s straight up voice and some drums. The songs grow on you with multiple listens, although they all sound fairly similar. The lyrics are a contrast to the music as it has some twisted, non sequitor moments. Most of the songs have the same feeling, so I’m doing a light track by track.

I swear I’ve heard this somewhere else. 5) FCC “fucking” “goodnight to my dead wife, goodnight to my nazi friends” 6) poppy guitar. “do me doggy, rape me in the parking lot” “bind me, gag me, take me to the bunny ranch. ((7)) cute song about “falling in love by accident”. 8) loungy vocals, strings.. “in my magical womb… frozen in time forever…baby”cheesy. ((9)) “skeleton of a smoking plane” pretty. 10) “She was a man with herpies, running in a yellow stream”11) faster tempo that the rest. “I want to live my life in a bath tub” 12) FCC’s “There’s no wrong way to fuck a girl with no legs, just tell her you love her as she’s crawling away.” 13) “we’re not supposed to be lovers” dirty I think, but I can’t figure it out exactly. 14) quick guitar strumming, strings, “ the aliens were just arriving, wherever they were heading next” 15) “she used to live with an Indian chief who gave her the clap that he got from a priest” “she went bungee jumping off the cliffs of our friendship” ugg…
