Sexy funky electro w/ good nod to the rock. Sex positive woman-“porno rock”? An “electroclash” pioneer but now that the moniker has evolved, been diluted I’m not sure I would be so quick to label her as such. Suffice to say this is electro sample production, with great Zeppelin’esque rock in places, but nasty nasty subject matter (yesssss!), too nasty for the FCC (nooooooooo!). But its as sex-positive as an afternoon at Good Vibrations so don’t be shy! But HEED THE FCC WARNINGS. Track 1 may be the ultimate “fuck you” to the Brittany Spears, industry co-opting of Peaches possible, a thing of pure beauty (!), but don’t even THINK of playing it on the air. All in all, I would say Peaches doesn’t break any new ground for herself here, but that’s okay and there are definitely enough standouts to make this charting material for sure. I am attracted to the rhythms that make me feel my favorite dance craze… 1) NO NO NO, FCCs MAXMOSA, Joan Jett! 2) “bitch” use in a sexy context, chill sexy electro 3) upbeat, electro beat, minimal, rife w/ bisexual, S&M, group sex refs 4) FCCs, rock 5) fuck me electroclash beat, minor feel 6) new wave synth, subdued, dark feel 7) FCCs 8) totally rockin, noisy jam out, low-fi garage rock yes, indecipherable lyrics 9) FCCs 10) urgent spy feel almost “don’t you know its ‘sposed to feel bad for boys” 11) dark minimal electrobeat, okay this is electroclash in the true Peaches sense, sexy, euphemisms that will pass I think…just fuck me baby 12) another minimal electro, “kick drum” heavy, goes hand clap new wave, more sex | ||
