Low-key, but confident, pop ranging from quiet interludes to riffy, uptempo tunes. Mild-mannered vocals (though not as precious as Sigur Ros’) give it all a sweet, if bland, manner. I would characterize this as whipped egg whites – airy yet having no strong taste. Then again, if you’re into that dynamic tension-release thing, you could do worse than this.

1. Short instro intro
2. Quiet instro intro leads to mid-tempo pop song
3. Uptempo
4. Mild tune occasionally swelling into moderate energy
5. Builds from fluff to flurry, then retreats to a pleasant violin and melodica-accented break; amusingly, around the 7:30 mark they seem to realize that they’ve forgotten to add vocals and there the tune turns into a driving, minor-key anthem (if that’s not a contradiction)
6. Swell and swelling, good buildup to energetic climax
7. OK, the easy and obvious comparison to all those big bands such as Tortoise and Mogwai is now utterly unavoidable; soft-loud-soft-loud-blah-blah
