Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2003-11-10
“Power electronics” (?). Amped out noise, just lovely, now that’s music to a mothers ears. Not for the faint of heart: harsh washes and layers of overdriven electro noise. If you want beats look elsewhere (look at Ambush records releases). See also Massimo and Kevin Drumm, the Mego record label. Beautiful stuff, all tracks great, most are quite brief.

1) brief, clangy, minimal noise, loud
2) difficult amped electro wash of noise
3) rhythmic electro tone
4) loud, harsh, tones pulsate, wall of noise unlike any other- cold stop with treated voice sample then ear splitting pain
5) noise, layers
6) sparser, quieter electronic noises, brief
7) pulsing, brief
8) swirling sparser
9) weird annoying noise, excellent stereo imaging, brief
10) slight beats, weird electronic noises
11) echoey, very brief
12) blippy watery sounds get pretty noisy
13) sparser noise
14) harsher noises
15) almost melodic sampling turns industrial buzz-saw
16) weird halting vocal-like noise
17) brief
18) minimal percussive noise
19) upbeat rhythmic noise
20) brief
21) pulse wave builds in layers
22) noise bursts, overdrives
23) harsher grinding
24) Lord of the Rings/Hobbit voice treated sample, brief
25) quiet fade-in, spacey, trippy
26) pulsing electro w/ vocal qualities
27) brief
28) clanging metalic’like
29) harsher overdriven noise layers, more voice samples
30) layered noise, in and out of phase
31) tapping noise, voices
