Conscious lyrics (slightly religious, mostly standing up for the downtrodden), dancehall and roots riddims, strong melodies, and a singing (as opposed to toasting/rapping) delivery mark this attractive reggae LP. Blender has a pleasant voice, the instrumentalists are sharp and not overbearing, and the production is restrained. The stronger cuts:

2. Catchy melody
3. Funky rhythm
7. Solid groove
8. Nice wah-wah guitar and mellow rap
11. A touch of the dub
12. Nice horn-flavored arrangement
15. Fresh island feel with light horns
