Smooth jazz with a Latin touch. Like a Mexican restaurant in Iowa. I suppose it’s all very well played in a “let’s have some pretentious European coffee and share the moment” kind of way, but I don’t like it. Tracks 1 and 3 are the most palatable.
1. Sophisticated and nicely swinging cumbia.
2. A sweet rumba.
3. Relaxed cha-cha w/a romantic flair.
4. Midtempo w/melodic guitar work & percussive accents.
5. The accordion adds energy to this fairly upbeat dance.
6. A Brazilian dance w/a modern, guitar-driven sound.
7. Nature noises are a bit much in this jazzy, mid-tempo track.
8. Midtempo cumbia.
9. Jazz cha-cha.
10. Uptempo w/lots of percussion.
