A San Francisco band bringing us an interesting mixture of 70's ProgRock with some jazzy, groovy overtones. Mur Murs is their first release and has been well received with the critics (at least they say so on their page). They poke fun at the fact they all come from different parts of the world...The Ebb and Flow is made up of a Muscovite, an Iranian and a New Yorker. It all makes for some good music to sit back and lounge to or if you're in the mood you can groove out to it as well. Another thing that enhances the album for me is the fact that there are both male and female vocals...pretty cool scheitt.
the good: nice instrumentation and recording sessions the bad: what's up with track #2--22 seconds?!?! the ugly: nuthin'
potty-mouth tracks: none detected

(note: rating numbers are out of 10 and following each track description)
1.4 Track Mind-Dusty Crickets: a slower guitar intro w/ some brass in the background, but then picks up (9) 2.Murmur in Fa: not even a track; don't bother (0) 3.Me and My Twins: song that reminded something Blues Traveler or Counting Crowes would put out; pretty good (8) 4.Routes of Roots: instrumental track with minimal vocals and groovy beat 5.Throop: instrumental; reminded me of a 70s show (7) 6.Contra Verse: another track a-la Counting Crowes; nice brass in the middle of the track (8)
