Odd pop ditties based on Lucil’s sassy vox (sung and rapped), synth lines straight out of Devo and Pet Shop Boys (to whom one song is dedicated), and on perky rhythms occasionally tending to ska. Great stuff. Play any of it! 1. A slow waltz 2. Funny, brash ballad 3. Peppy ska rhythm and amusing lyrics describing and fetishizing various German and Austrian firearms – much better than that sounds 4. Evil Farfisa swirls over a bangin’ riff and this time, an ode to cutlery 5. Nice glock! Glockenspiel, that is. A bit of a subversive atonal violin leavens the otherwise too-sweet tune 6. Another insanely catchy tune disturbed by a warbly keyboard – awesome 7. Oomp-ska rhythm and teasing vocals 8. Fervent riff and a catchy chorus add up to sing-and-nod-along – La-la-la-la! 9. Blurpy bassline and sassy rap alternating with him sweet singing 10. Total Pet Shop Boys droll vocals over a galloping groove 11. Doo-wop feel; the lyrics start “I think I’m going to throw up all over your office door” and continue on to bemoan office temp work and dead ends over a minimalistic keyboard accompaniment; reminiscent of Gonzalez 12.
