Agile, energetic modern bop that holds a cohesive "jazz" sound. But Coleman's stuff has a deep underlying complexity, giving it a steely richness and an almost technological feel.

Coleman's slower and more "metaphysical" side gets showcased here as well -- see 3 and 4 especially.

Cool geometric line-drawings inside the booklet.

1*- Mid/fast, flowing. Dig the wacky drum patterns.
2- Slow, w/bright soloing
3- Floaty/spacey with fem. vocal; moves into rhythimic midtempo chugging
4*- Sax-percussion meditation, soulful and quiet
5*- Fast and snappy, after midtempo start
6- Mid/fast flowing, with nice sax-trumpet duo soloing
7- Another take of #5, fast
8*- Midtempo. Strange snaky composition.
9- Solo sax encore, opens with applause. Warm, comforting sound.
