Modern jazz composing with free/avant-garde touches, led by Malaby on sax. Malaby is like a milder Tim Berne, composing long, twiny lines and allowing plenty of improv freedom in his pieces.

The band has a bass and two drummers, with Malaby as the only horn. The setup emphasizes the sax, showcasing Malaby's ability to carve out territory with the backing of his choice.

*- Midtempo, gets cooking. Lightly stormy two-drummer solo.
- Midtempo
*- Fast, more furious. Starts slow/stumbly
- Calmly stormy and bold; mid/fast
- Mid/fast darting. Perky and jumbled
- Fast, aggressive
- Perky mid/fast with sparse and very quiet spots
*- Fast quiet background, quickly strolling sax lines
*- Mid/fast, tumbling
- Mid/fast. Relaxed little jam
