The first US release from this fadista combines traditional fado with original compositions that have a more folk feel. Her voice, as you’d expect, is rich, deep, lush, and expressive. Ably backed by guitar & bass. *1. Slow & eloquent. Beautifully sad. 2. Downtempo w/a more modern folk sound. *3. Midtempo, almost bouncy. 4. Rich vocals, down/mid tempo. Nicely lyrical. *5. Slow, delicate, gentle, and emotional. Lovely. 6. Midtempo w/some nice flourishes from the guitars. 7. Soaring vocals, good guitar. Pretty melody. *8. Sad passion & delicate guitars. Great vocals. *9. Another sad song of loss & longing. 10. Sorrow set to guitars. 11. Downtempo & melodic. 12. Bright, midtempo, nice vocals. 13. A more modern sound. Equally sad, but different. 14.
