Freshly Re-released by Aguirre from the seminal minimalist label Shandar. Steve Reich is experimental music. Originally released in 1970 the two tracks are intense sounds to thrill, annoy & ultimately to be in total awe of. 1) Recorded at the Guggenheim NY 2) Recorded at the University Art Museum Berkeley

1) Four Organs (15.39) Maracas & organs for 15 minutes. What more can you ask for. This is about as hardcore & repetitive as you can get. Four organs & maracas blazing away into the sunset. Star Trek like quality towards the latter stages. The shaking will drill into your head if you listen intently enough & with headphones on.
2) Phase Patterns (16.12) Funking it up with the four electric organs, looping magnetic madness. This is higher energy, yet the sounds are just as relentless. Hypnotic pounding that either takes you deep, or, it will cause the listeners to switch off in their droves. I hope not.

minimal music from a master, recorded in 1970.
1.trance inducing. There's a maraca keeping the beat and a chord that gets smeared out, all done on electric organ. cool.
2.ay! chattering notes go in and out of phase. Also trance inducing but it will attract chipmunks.
