Mellower, pop-punk is the description that came to mind as soon as I put this record on. I might even go as far as saying it carried over to the “emo” side? I know, I know...sacrilege...but who's writing this review, huh? :-)
The Frenchmen come to us courtesy of Amy, Niki, Charles and Leon from Sacramento. This is their first release and with it they hope to steal the heart of all the pop-punks out there. One of the things that stood out from this release was the fact that there were both male and female vocals.

the good: good sounding pop-punk
the bad: somewhat repetitive
the ugly: nothin' ugly here
potty-mouth tracks: none detected

1.Powdered Blue: title track; has the punk beat going; male vocals (7) 2.Unlucky Day: similar to track one but with female vocals (7) 3.Hey Amelia: rock/punk beat; female vocals (7) 4.Nar vs. The Ramones: most “originial” track of the release; no drums in the intro—then they come in...pretty cool. (8)
