Jim Campilongo Electric Trio "American Hips" - Great jazzy/country/blues guitar. Nice electric guitar work along with upright bass and drums. All songs are instrumentals except the 2 tracks with Norah Jones in for vocals. The whole album feels cool and smoky. Most songs are on the slower side. It's an interesting mix of country and jazz with some blues riffs thrown in for good measure. There is also a lot of that surf guitar reverb on songs. Nothing really jumps out as amazing, but the whole album is just really nice. They do a great job creating moods for each song. Definitely recommended and if nothing else it would make an excellent soundbed.

1) Fast midtempo with a fun blues groove. Nice guitar work and even some hand claps. Makes you wanna shake your hips just a little. Instrumental.
2) Slow guitar using lots of tricks with bending notes and harmonics and maybe even going so far as to tune down the pegs in the middle of it. Guitar also has a bit of a surf reverb sound to it. Instrumental.
3) Slow midtempo that kind of shuffles along. Norah Jones on vocals with a smooth smoky sound. A bit of a country feel to it.
4) Fades in with some weird guitar noises that are a little screechy. Falls into a dragging guitar crawl with a lot of reverb. Instrumental.
5) Slower dragging midtempo. Quiet with brushed drums. Simple guitar picking/strumming. Lazy laid back feel. Instrumental.
6) Solid blues riff on guitar. Solid midtempo with some rough and raw guitar. Instrumental.
7) Midtempo waltz (in ¾ time). Brushed drums and clean guitar. Norah Jones on vocals again. Same as before, smoky and smooth.
8) Starts with drums and then in comes the guitar and bass. Slow and low. Instrumental.
9) Quiet and minimal to start with just guitar. A little call and response is added with the bass. Drums come in lightly. Instrumental.
10) Quiet guitar picking to start. Then drums and bass come in. This is odd. It's jerky and feels like it's off balance the whole time. Pretty cool. Instrumental.
11) Slow and low. Wow, you really have to be paying attention to realize this is a cover of the Beatles's song. A nice jazzy/country version that just glides along. Instrumental.
12) An uptempo tune with some fun country electric guitar silliness. Cute. Instrumental.
13) Slow, cool, and smoky. Instrumental.
