Remix project devoted to the songs of the late, great Dismemberment Plan. Stylings range from electronic, to straight up rock, to aimless noisy wanderings. The quality varies wildly, but some of the remixes are pretty decent. The best ones allow the most powerful qualities of the Plan’s spastic D.C. post-punk and Travis Morrison’s haunting lyricism to shine through. The good tracks are good enough to make this more than a disc solely for rabid fans. Enjoy!
Best tracks: 6, 2, 4, 10, 12

1. The song’s ebullient chorus keeps fading in and out among strange clicks and drones. Instrumental except for tiny gasps and moans.
*2. Trippy, awesome reworking of a great song, adding heavier beats and backwards vocals. Incredible chorus.
3. Rather bad dj remix of a song that wasn’t that great in the first place. Annoying spoken/screamed lyrics.
*4. Dark 80’s pop vibe; very echo-y, somewhat muted vocals. Beautiful.
5. Rocker, sort of loses direction near the end.
**6. Now this one is amazing. Soft organ chords and muted, yet insistent tribal drums, with the original vocals shining through magnificently.
7. Dance beat, breakdowns, horns and old-timey noises. Ends up a confused jumble.
8. IDM/hip-hop mash-up.
9. Dark, slow, heavy guitar. Mesmerizing.
*10. Piano, bass. A bit jazzy, with a great vocal build up on the chorus. Check out the horn solo.
11. Electronica, w/ some creepy piano thrown in.
*12. Strummed tinny guitar, synth noises creep in. Great lyrics.
