Starlight and smoke from an acclaimed vocalist; smooth and laid back, with really husky vocals. Jazz combo, almost beat poetry sound: muted acoustic guitar, upright bass, heavy on the bongos. Or maybe it’s like soft bossa nova; lots of latinesque percussion and intricate rhythms. Most songs are pretty similar in feel: Seduction music? Some covers, some originals. *1. *(4:37) melancholy bossa nova, Sting cover: “Fragile” 2. (4:12) wandering tune, some scatting. strange eerie harmonica chords 3. (4:21) faster, train harmonica, chugging tempo, beat-poetry like. *4. *(5:29) meditative laid-back. cover: “If Lovin’ You is Wrong” *5. *(5:08) Soft jazzy wandery Dylan cover: “Lay Lady Lay” 6.
