The Bawd Of Euphony
Reviewed 2004-02-09
NERVOUS COP « Nervous Cop (5RC) The Drummers from Deerhoof & Hella Unite to form this Sonic avalanche of electronics and rhythm (more like anti-rhythm). Nervous Cop is not what you think. There are no crazy polly- rhythmic prog beats (hella) or swelling off time spastic pulsing (Deerhoof). Nervous Cop sounds more like a crazy experimental sound collage, at times classical (there is also a harpist on the record), at times minimal, at times it sounds like someone falling down 30 flights of stairs. Whatever it is, its good. PLAY! THE bAWD of eUPHONy

1- (:30) Quick cacophony of harp and electronics
2-3 (1:30)Oh, here are the drummers. Ultra-compressed drum sounds, cool
4- (:36) Same compressed drum sound with some bleepy electronics
5- (4:00) Same as above but longer
6*-(7:30) Drums with more space and wa la, harp! Sounds like if Angels smoked angel dust
7-(3:00) Proding harp, swelling drums and electronics take over.
8-(6:20) Noise fest explosion! Back to the drumming with electronics
9-(:50) Minimal bleeps
10-(5:00) Hello cacophony! Gets dirty and weird
